Carla L. Elmblade, 53 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Glendale, AZ on April 8, 1963 to Carl Elmblade and Wanda Plummer Elmblade. She was a cafeteria worker for Sodexo. Carla is survived by her uncle Gaylon Smith (wife Diane), an aunt, Carol Reigner, and her cousins Linda Sturgeon (husband Greg), Anita Harris, Josh Smith ( wife Ashlee), and Julie Shaver, as well as her church family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Wanda Elmblade, and grandparents Alva and Vera Smith, and Carl and Margaret Elmblade. Carla was a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene, Fayette Extension Homemakers Club, Happiness Bag Bowling Team, and was a graduate of Terre South High School. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Dale Stoops officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
