Carl M. Sullivan, 76, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.  He was born December 13, 1943 in Terre Haute to Ira Sullivan and Rebecca (Hilbird) Sullivan.  Carl worked as a Communications Technician for AT&T for over 35 years.  He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and the Riley Masonic Lodge #390.  He enjoyed volunteering with Catholic Charities and the Salvation Army.  He also enjoyed horseback riding.  Carl had completed the 100 mile ride in Corydon many years, last time finishing on a mule.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.  You could find him at his happiest watching them play sports and even helping to coach.

Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary (Dixon) Sullivan, daughter Carla Walton (John), and three granddaughters Madison Sullivan, Maria Walton, and Hayley Walton.  He is preceded in death by his parents and son Doug Sullivan.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 22, 2019 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  A prayer service will begin at 6:00 p.m. and a Masonic service will be at 7:00 p.m.  Mass will be Monday, December 23, 2019 at St. Margaret Mary Church at 11:00 a.m.  Father Dan Bedel and Father Rick Ginther will be officiating.   Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until mass.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Carl to Catholic Charities of Terre Haute, Salvation Army, or St. Margaret Mary Church. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
