Brian Joseph Rickard, 30 of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 as a result of a vehicle/train accident. He was born in Terre Haute on December 17, 1982 to Darryl Wayne Rickard and Valerie Jo Gladden Rickard. He is survived by two sons, Matthew Wayne Rickard and Dawson Lee Rickard, and his mother, Valerie Rickard Gladden. Also surviving is one brother, Kevin Rickard, and two sisters, Michelle Lee and Renee Rickard. Other survivors include his step-mother, Kathryn Rickard, and former wife, Tisha Rickard. He was preceded in death by his father Darryl Wayne Rickard. Brian attended Blackhawk Community Church and was an avid hunter and gamer. He was a 2001 graduate of Terre Haute North High School where he also played varsity baseball. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Visitation is scheduled on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to help establish a trust fund for his children C/O Fifth Third Bank, Clinton, IN, in his memory.
