Huffman
Bobbie Dale Huffman, 89 of Jacksonville, FL and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Jacksonville. He was born in Terre Haute on April 3, 1927 to Lloyd Huffman and Mabel Cottom Huffman. Bobbie Dale was a Navy Veteran, having served in Guam during WW II. After returning home, he retired from National Cash Register after 40 years. He was a top Salesman for National Cash Register, but was a renaissance man as well, as he was involved in farming, engineering, and even held two U.S. Patents. He was a member of Oregon Baptist Church and loved to fly-fish. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Ducharme Huffman, whom he married June 1, 1947. He is also survived by their three children: Kathy Fleig, Carmon Greenlee, and Jeffrey Huffman. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Andrea Davison and Rachael Bishop, two great grandchildren, Olivia Davison and Isaac Davison, as well as a brother, Everett Doyle Huffman (wife Jeanette). He was preceded in death by his parents, and two uncles, Wayne Huffman and Dale Cottom. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Fred Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Riley. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
