Obituary

Blanche Louella Collins Gossman Channel, 99, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday March 2, 2017 in Kindred Southwood Health Center. She was a potter for Hull Pottery. Blanche was born June 6, 1917 in Buchtel, OH to Harley Collins and Emma (Preston) Collins. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie J. Smith; grandsons, John Harris, Kirk Harris (Patti), Mic Smith (Pam), Steve Smith (Angie), Rich Smith (Cathy), and Matt Smith (Angela); granddaughter, Theresa Hemrich (Larry); a brother, Bill Collins; a sister, Betty McKahan; 23 great grandchildren, 31 great great grandchildren, 2 great great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Banjo Gossman, her second husband, Ron Channel, brothers, Raymond and Frank Collins, sister, Glenna Gossman, grandson, Dwight Harris, son-in-law, Michael Smith, and great grandson, CJ Weck. Blanche was a member of the Moose Lodge, she also enjoyed dancing and loved to gamble, especially horse races. Graveside services will be Tuesday march 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
