Betty Ruth McKimmy, 94, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday December 3, 2019 in Indianapolis. She was born December 14, 1924 in Paris, Illinois to Floyd and Ozelma (Archer) Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Karen McKimmy and Connie Roberts (Ron); grandchildren, Roberta Eaton (Ricky) and Tim Roberts (Kathy); seven great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the oldest of six siblings with her brother Floyd M Johnson surviving and was preceded in death by siblings, Coralie Mae McKimmy, Ada Louise Silvers (Bill), Mary Ellen Butt (Don), Nancy and David Johnson. Special love goes to her prayer warriors, the late Catherine Fuson, Ruth Adams, Jo Ann Liffick, and Carol Hunt. Also to her loving neighbors, Donald and Patty Steward, Jerry and Marsha Cesinger, their family, and Bob Eaton. She was proud to have graduated from Wiley High School in 1942. She loved being with family and friends and celebrating their accomplishments. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. She had a strong faith in God and took pride in raising her daughters with that same faith. She felt led to pray for others and had a gift for sharing her faith. Her greatest memories come from serving in the Regional south Hospital Chaplain's office for 25 years. Visitation will be Friday December 6, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Saturday December 7, 2019 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Paul Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Breden Memorial United Methodist Church, 2228 S. 7th St, Terre Haute, IN 47802 or Edgewood United Methodist Church, 1820 E.
