Betty E. Caton, 94, of Terre Haute passed away March 8, 2023 at her residence. She was born to Herbert and Ethel (Mann) Garrett on December 8, 1928. She was married to Sidney Caton who passed away in December 2010. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Cleeton; son, David Caton (Debbie); grandchildren, Brent McCammon, Brian McCammon (Annie), Jennifer Patterson (Rob), Amy Woods (Bryan), Steven Johnson, Jackie Harris, Samantha Caton, Mindy Hankins; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Rita Caton and Sarah Caton and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Larry Caton and Jack Caton; grandchildren, Nicole Caton and Davy Caton; son-in-law, Prentice Cleeton; sister Herberta Shull; and brother, Fred Garrett. Betty enjoyed crocheting and helping on the farm. She also loved mowing her yard and taking care of her flowers. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service following the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at New Harmony Cemetery. The family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, or VNA Hospice.
