Betty J. Need, 83, of Farmersburg passed away Saturday April 16, 2022 in her residence. She was born June 11, 1938 in Jasonville to Ray and Mary (Pershing) Dougherty. Betty is survived by her daughter, Mitzi Daffron (Stan) of Farmersburg; sister, Barbara Butler of Terre Haute; brother, Dave Dougherty (Rita) of Linton; grandchildren, Lauren Daffron and Joseph Daffron (Tonya Davis) and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Need, who died December 23, 1992. Betty was a member of Faith Wesleyan Church where she ran the Kid's Club Ministry for many years. She also loved sewing, baking, and cooking for other people. Visitation will be Thursday April 21, 2022 from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm in Faith Wesleyan Church with funeral services at 6:30 pm in the church with Pastor Steve Sanchez officiating.
