Benny E. Williams, 89, of Terre Haute passed away Monday September 7, 2015 at 1:26 pm in Miller's Merry Manor. Benny was the owner and the man who single handedly started Animal Health Center, and was well known and trusted by both farmers and veterinarians for his knowledge of animal diseases. He was born December 28, 1925 in Prairieton, IN to Phillip Merl Williams and Juanita (Campbell) Williams. Benny is survived by his wife, Grace Eloise Williams; daughters, Teresa Trotter and her husband Joe of Sullivan and Janet Hofmann and her husband Stanley of Cory; a son; James Williams and his wife Evelyn of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren; Ivan Hofmann and wife Angel of Clay City, Lance Hofmann and wife Christa of Clay City, Grant Williams of Indianapolis, Erin Williams of Portland, OR, Boone Williams University of Chicago, IL, Samuel Williams United States Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT, Joseph Williams University of Texas, Austin, TX, Amanda Meng of Pittsboro, IN, Blaine Jones and wife Emely United States Marine Corps, Okinawa, Japan, Nicole Sargent of Naples, FL, Shanon Stewart and husband Brad of Sullivan, and Annette Trotter of Terre Haute, 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Wright-Morgee, Helen Warken-Andres, Norma Frazier, and Mary Ann Salin, and very special constant caregivers, Elizabeth Hoseman and Jenny York. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bobby Williams, Donnie Williams, Russell Williams, and Charles Williams. He was a member of Terre Haute Bible Center, the Prairie Creek Masonic Lodge, the Wabash Valley Carriage Association, and was a 25 year member of the Wabash Valley Fair Board. Benny was a veteran of the US Navy having served in the South Pacific during WW II and was a graduate of Honey Creek High School where he played basketball for Howard Sharpe. As per Benny's request, cremation is scheduled with a memorial serviced planed for a later date. DeBaun Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
