Obituary

Bailey "Bud" Landry went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 5:40 PM holding his wife Peggi's hand. He was born June 17, 1933 to Junis and Ophelia Hargraves Landry in Sour Lake, TX. Bud worked hard all his life, first in the oil fields of Texas where he later became a Boilermaker, his real true love. He came to Indiana in 1972 where he met and married his sweetheart "Dot". They were married 28 years until she passed in 2000. In 2002 he met what he always called his beautiful wife "Peggi" and she survives. Bud was a member of Pimento Methodist Church, a devoted member to the Moose & Eagle Lodges of Terre Haute. His other memberships include Masonic Lodge # 292 F & AM, Scottish Rite, and the Zorah Shrine. Surviving Bud's memory is his wife Peggi of Terre Haute, daughters; Donna (OH), Maggie (KS), Robin (GA), and Bitsey (Rick) (TX)., as well as a step-son Eric (Wendy) of Terre Haute. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Sabrina (Jerry) of OH, Dorsha (Chuck) of OH, Tiffany (Nick) of OH, Tommy Sue (Reuben) of KS, Danny of KS, Debbie of KS, Lindsey of GA, Shannon of TX and Jacob of TX, as well as 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Other survivors include a brother David (Karla) of TX, sister-in-law Janice Brown (Mike) of Terre Haute, and best friends Dick and Donna Bredeweg of Terre Haute and Tom and Barb Alvey of Terre Haute, as well as his faithful cats Greta and Libby. He was preceded in death by parents, his first wife Dot, a brother, Jr., and sisters June, Mary and Alice as well as grandchildren Brandy and Cliffie, mother-in-law Doyne Lawson, and brother-in-law Bob Lawson. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Springhill Chapel on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Tim Voll officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 16, 2013 from 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Private burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Bud's family to help offset burial costs, in his memory.
