August "Augie" Blanc, 79, of Terre Haute passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. He was born June 22, 1945, in Terre Haute to August Blanc and Dollie Myers Blanc.  Augie was a graduate of West Terre Haute High School, where he participated in track and field.  After high school he married the love of his life, Nancy Bush Blanc.  They were married 52 years and raised three beautiful daughters.  Augie was the softball coach for the girls. He was a member of Cross Tabernacle Church.  He was also active in Promise Keepers and prison ministries.  Augie was an avid collector of light houses, movies, and spent hours meticulously setting up his Christmas Villages for all to enjoy.  He will be lovingly missed by so many.

Augie is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Blanc, daughters Emily Horstman (Jeff), Jackie Musser (David), and Janet Hunt; grandchildren Jordan Blanc (Cory), Sarah Low (Matthew), Samuel Musser, Kody Hunt (Angel), Shiloh Musser, Kelsey Maze (Noah), and Lydia Horstman; great grandchildren Noah, Oliver, Zoey, Olivia, Reuben, Elizabeth, Sadie, and one on the way; sisters Janet Jones (Joe), and Marsha McClain (Dick), brother in law Joe Bush (Margaret), and lifelong best friend Junior Riggs.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Delores, Augusta, Helen, and Nancy.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
