Obituary

Anne M. Randolph (Suter), 91, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, in her room at Harrison's Crossing Health Campus surrounded by family.

Anne was born on December 11, 1932, to Arlen and Carrie Suter in Jett, Kentucky.  She married Carl L. Randolph on March 13, 1953, and had two sons: Barry and Jeff.  Anne owned and operated the family farm with her husband Carl for her entire working days while also working for the Vigo County School Corporation as a cook at Pimento High School, then at Hoosier Prairie Elementary School.  She was an excellent cook.  She was well known for her rolls, potato salad and deserts.  She was a member of Oregon Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and helped with picnics, activities, and VBS.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Randolph in September 2014.  Anne is survived by her two sons (Barry, wife Bonnie, and Jeff, husband Lenny), three grandsons (Brennan, wife Beth, Cliff, wife Libby and Ryan, wife Karen), and 4 great grandchildren (Caleb, Madison, Phoebe and Alex).

Anne loved to maintain a nice-looking yard and a garden full of vegetable plants so she could prepare healthy meals and can for the winter.  She was a planner and a cleaner as she kept a very clean home for her family.  Anne loved to exercise and work out at Stan's Nautilus where she walked on the treadmill and lifted weights.  She traveled to Florida and Arizona for many winters where she spent time with family and friends.  She was full of grit and determination with everything she did, which is defined by the family by saying the "Suter is strong with this one."

A private visitation took place for the family on June 3, 2024 at West Lawn Cemetery Chapel and she was laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oregon Baptist Church of Terre Haute.
