AnnaMae Pence, 96, of Terre Haute passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born May 30, 1928 in Terre Haute to Pete Dragon and Rose Buzash Dragon.  AnnaMae loved being outdoors and working in the yard.  She and her husband Charles enjoyed traveling to Florida and to the Indy 500 among other places.  They loved seeing shows at Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre and visiting with friends and family.  AnnaMae enjoyed knitting sweaters, blankets and scarves for family and friends.  She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.  AnnaMae was very caring and loyal. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her sons Charles Pence, Jr. and Robert Pence (Brenda), granddaughters Tracee Hines (Donnie) and Sara Pence Vitaniemi, grandchildren Austin, Aaron, Ayden, Ashton, Ava, and Landon, and three great- great grandchildren (and one on the way), as well as many nieces and nephews.  AnnaMae was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles W. Pence, Sr., and siblings Amelia Buzash, Elizabeth Dragon, Rose Dragon, Mary Caton, Dave Dragon, and Lena Dragon.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
