Annabelle Dennis, 79 of Widener, Arkansas and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 8:00 AM in Crestpark Nursing Home. She was born in Prairieton, IN on December 7, 1933 to Estel Gilbert Shields and Lucille Marie Jones Shields. Annabelle was a retired mail analyst from Columbia Records. She married Billy L. Dennis on November 15, 1954 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Young & husband Jeff of Widener, AR, and two sons, Randy Dennis & wife Penny of Terre Haute, and Gary Dennis & wife Robyn of Terre Haute. Also surviving is a brother, Donald Shields & wife Sue of Terre Haute, a sister, Wilma June Shields of Terre Haute, as well as 6 grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Estel Shields, Jr., and 3 sisters, Betty Ridge, Phyllis Shields, and Dorothy Karnes. Annabelle attended Ridgewood Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 12 Noon, with Pastor Adam Millar officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 10:00 AM – 12 Noon in the funeral home.
