Anna "June"
June Chambers
February 3, 1925 – July 6, 2025
Anna June Chambers, 100, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025. She was born in Alliance, Ohio on February 3, 1925, to Frank and Roselia Winn. They preceded her in death, as did three brothers and two sisters.
June (as people preferred to call her) graduated from Alliance High School and Cleveland Bible College (now Malone University in Canton, Ohio), with a degree in Biblical Studies and Music (primarily piano and organ).
She married Curtis Chambers on August 26, 1946, and to that union were born four children David L. Chambers and wife Julie and their two daughters Cecily and Abigail who live in Sheman Oaks, California; Allen Chambers and his wife Renae and their two daughters Carrie and Megan of Placerville, California; Debbie Dayton and her husband Dan and their two sons Peter and John of Paris, Illinois; and Charles Chambers and his wife Colleen and their son Cayden of Dayton, Ohio. June was and is deeply loved by all.
June wore many "hats". She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a proficient musician, a happy minister's wife, and a busy volunteer.
Because of her husband Curtis, being a United Methodist minister, editor, and communicator, they lived in several different locations and met many wonderful and longtime friends.
United Methodist Women was always dear to her heart. She held local and district offices in places where she and Curtis ministered. June was a member of the handbell choir and accompanied various choral groups. June also volunteered with the Laubach Literacy Movement- "Each One Teach One".
After retirement and moving to Westminster Village in Terre Haute, she volunteered, and she and Curtis became very involved in the Sunday Evening Vesper Services at the Village.
She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Our lives will never be the same without her, but her joyful smile and loving spirit will always remain with us. Her faith in God and family were paramount in her life.
June requested cremation with private services at a later date where she will be buried beside her husband. The family would like to thank the very kind staff at Westminster Village and the nurses of Southern Hospice care. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
