Angela Lynn
Wehr
February 15, 1966 – February 25, 2026
Angela Lynn Wehr, 60, of Terre Haute, Indiana, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 25, 2026.
Angela was the heart of her family, a woman of deep faith, unwavering love, and unforgettable wit. She led her family in faith, guiding her children and grandchildren with prayer, encouragement, and example. Her family and her faith were her greatest accomplishments; she loved her children and grandchildren deeply, celebrated their successes, and was their steady place, comfort, and biggest supporter.
She worked hard throughout her life in a variety of roles, from working alongside her mother at the hospital to positions in service and care, and earlier on as a hairdresser. She later earned an IT certification from Ivy Tech Community College, becoming the only woman in her class to complete the program—a testament to her intelligence, determination, and perseverance. But above all, her proudest role was being the center of her family and nurturing the faith and love they shared.
Angela is survived by her soulmate, Mike Mitchell, who shared with her a love rooted in faith, laughter, and music, especially their shared love for Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin; her children, Katie Krockenberger; Kyle Krockenberger and his wife, Samantha; and Kristen McReynolds and her husband, Dustin; her grandchildren, Colton Kearschner, Layla Kearschner, and Hazel Krockenberger; her father, Harry Wehr; her siblings and their families, including Mark Wehr and his children, Nathanial and Melanie; Paul Wehr and his wife, Crista, and their children, Luke, Ava, and Joy; and Sherry Fisher and her husband, Stan, and their children, Rachael Pounds and Chris Hamilton, with Rachael and her husband, David Pounds', children, Elijah and Jenna, and Chris' daughter, Mazie; as well as additional extended family. Angela cherished her family and believed that time spent together was one of life's greatest blessings.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Merry, along with her Uncle Jon and Aunt Penny, and her grandparents, whom we trust welcomed her into Heaven with open arms.
Angela faced cancer and COPD with remarkable courage and grace, never allowing her battles to define her. She had a sharp sense of humor, a sassy spirit, and a joy for life that made others laugh, feel welcomed, and cherished. She loved listening to music, rocking out with Mike, and bringing fun into the lives of those around her. Her legacy lives on in the faith she instilled, the love she shared, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14th, at the Cobblestone Clubhouse, 6940 S. Artisan Way, Terre Haute, IN 47802. Guests are invited to drop in between 1–4 p.m.
