Alma N. Cox, 86 of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:30 AM on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in Springhill Village. She was born in Terre Haute on November 10, 1927 to George Plummer and Vera Walls Plummer. Alma was a Home Health Care Aid and member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by two daughters, Anita Harris (& husband David), and Linda Sturgeon (& husband Greg), and a step-daughter, Linda Sue Cox. Also surviving are three grandchildren; David Harris, Jr. William L. Harris, and Elizabeth Hash (& husband Bob), eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In addition, she is also survived by a brother, Gaylon Smith (& wife Diane), a niece, Carla Elmblade, and a nephew, Josh Smith (& wife Ashlee). She was preceded in death by her father George Plummer, her mother & step-father Vera & Alva Smith, and a sister, Wanda Elmblade. Memorial services will be held in Crossroads Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Walter Huyck officiating. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been chosen with burial of cremated remains in Grandview Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory.
