Albert J. Gallagher, Sr., 81 of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:26 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on November, 25, 1934 to Albert I. Gallagher and Mary Gallagher. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was Superintendent at Highland Lawn Cemetery, and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Martha Gallagher, as well as 3 sons; Albert J. Gallagher, Jr., William B. Gallagher, and John D. Gallagher. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; James Gallagher, William Gallagher, Erin Gallagher, Nicholas Gallagher, and Maggie Gallagher, and also by 1 great grandchild, Hayden Gallagher, and 1 brother, Eugene Gallagher, and 2 sisters, Mary Gamble and Claire Gallagher.. He was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter Katelyn Gallagher. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with Friar Mark Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
