Albert Eugene Bays, 82, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA.  He was born in Terre Haute on March 14, 1940 to Richard A. Bays and Clara Peyton Bays.

Albert grew up in Terre Haute.  He served our country in the U.S. Air Force in data processing and retired from Sony Music as a Data Center Manager after 33 years.  After retirement he continued as a part-time consultant for a number of years.  He enjoyed traveling, bowling, Wednesday night meetings with the guys at Jack's, decorating for Christmas, watching NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Marion G. Bays, Harold L. Bays and Charles E. Bays.

Survivors include his brother, Robert E. Bays, several nieces and nephews and special friend, Nina Saxon.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 2-3:00 p.m. Graveside services and burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
