Ronald A. Rudisel

Ronald A. Rudisel, 79, of West Terre Haute passed away Thursday March 7, 2019 at 11:57 pm in Union Hospital. He joined the Indiana State Police in 1962 and retired in 1996 after 33 years of service and he also retired from the Indiana Board of Pharmacy. He was born March 19, 1939 in Terre Haute to Harley Rudisel and Thelma (Sears) Rudisel. Ronald is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy (Mooney) Rudisel; sons, Scott Rudisel (Yasuko) of Doha, Qutar and Brent Rudisel (Nicole) of Zionsville; daughter, Robin Penrod of Nashville, TN; sister, Linda Willham of Terre Haute; sister-in-law, Marianne Rudisel; grandchildren, Tyler Penrod (Iryna) of Chicago, Jordan Pendergrass (Justin) of Nashville, TN, Josh Rudisel of Doha, Qutar, Haleigh and Arianna Tussinger, and Lee Rudisel of Zionsville; great-grandchildren, Monroe and Andersen Pendergrass of Nashville, TN and nephews, Mark Willham, Jeff, Mike, and Craig Rudisel. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Rudisel, and grandchild Austin Penrod. Ronald was a 1957 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School. He was a member of the Indiana Pioneers of the Indiana State Police, the Indiana State Police Alliance, and the Indiana State University Sycamore Varsity Club. Visitation will be Monday March 11, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Tuesday March 12, 2019 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Mark Willham officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. If friends so desire the family suggests that donations can be made to either, C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police Survivors) or the Terre Haute Humane Society.
