Norbert Stephen Krysinski, 91, of Terre Haute and formally of Merrillville, Indiana went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Westminster Village surrounded by his family. He was born June 10, 1927 to Stephen Krysinski and Estelle Klazura Krysinski. Norbert served his county in the U.S. Army in WWII as well as the U.S. Navy in Korea on the USS Abbot. He was a fireman serving the Gary Indiana Fire Department for 35 years. Norbert loved vegetable gardening and sharing his vegetables with friends and family. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Crown Point.
Norbert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruthanna Krysinski, daughters; Pamela Biller of Cleveland Tennessee, Kimberly DeLaughter (Brian) of Argyle, Texas and Juliann Villarreal (Edward) of Terre Haute, son Stephen Krysinski (Jan) of Plymouth, Minnesota, grandchildren; Jennifer Hammond (Adam), Rachel Clemons (Johnny), Michelle Cuzzort (Michael), Brianne Johnson (Matt), Britney Travers (Ben), Cameron DeLaughter (Julie), Ashley O’Neill (Tyler), Lindsey Krysinski, Kaitlyn Villarreal, Harrison Villarreal and Ashlyn Villarreal, fifteen great-grandchildren, sister Juanita Erceg (Ranks), brother Franklin Krysinski (Emilie), and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Marianne Cefali, and son-in-law Douglas Biller.
Services will be held on Friday, August 17 at 11:00 p.m CDT (12:00 p.m. EDT) at the Chapel located inside the VA Illiana Health Care Hospital located at 1900 E Main St, Danville, IL 61832. Pastor Hugh Kelly, nephew of Norbert, will be officiating. A graveside service and military honors will immediately follow at the Danville National Cemetery.
