Marianne Fagg Obituary

Marianne Fagg, 78, died Tuesday, June 4, 2019, surrounded by family after a 38-year off and on battle with breast cancer.  She was born April 7, 1941 to Frances (Casebeer) and Thomas Morgan. From a very young age, Marianne knew that she wanted to be a nurse.  She graduated from Schulte High School in 1958 and attended St. Anthony Hospital’s Nurses Training Program, where she graduated as a Registered Nurse and was current in her credentials at the time of her death. Throughout her 50+ year career, Marianne worked at a doctor’s office and in several hospitals, including Union Hospital, where she worked in Labor and Delivery and in the Emergency Room. After she “retired”, she worked sporadically at Rose Hulman, where she covered vacations for her RN friends as well as volunteered for various roles in her church, Homeland Security, and at various community events.  On December 19, 1964, she married her best friend and love of her life, Bill Fagg.  They remained married until his death on August 30, 2008.  Marianne lived a fulfilled life of love and service.  She was the neighbor who was there when you needed her.  She was the friend who always had your back.  She was the volunteer who showed up faithfully always with a smile on her face.  She was the co-worker who made work fun. Most of all, she was deeply devoted to her family in all roles and was an excellent wife and mother to her children. Marianne lived a life of honesty, integrity, and faith. She will forever be remembered as a living example of Jesus’ command, “Love one another.” Grateful for having shared Marianne’s life are her daughter, Teresa (David) Robinson GA; son, Bill Morgan NY; dog “Molly”; two brothers, Thomas (Dorothy) Morgan MO, Mark (Connie) Morgan NC; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bill Fagg; mother, Frances Morgan; father, Thomas Morgan, and dog “Abbey,” all of Terre Haute. Through all of the lives she touched, Marianne leaves a legacy that will always be carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Visitation will be Sunday June 9, 2019 from 2:00 until 6:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday June 10, 2019 at 12:05 pm in St. Benedict Catholic church with Father Martin Day officiating.
