James Neises Obituary

James A. Neises, 68, of Clinton passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019.  He was born November 09, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Matthew Neises and Ellen Neises Loiselle.  Jim was brother to Matthew Neises (Virginai), Ronald Neises, and the late Ellen Solesky.  He married Theresa Reed of Chicago, Illinois in 1976.  For many years Jim’s passion was his work in the community as a Case Manager and Counselor, serving and assisting those with disabilities.  Additionally, he was a lifelong avid fan of all Chicago-land athletics, exceptional music, fine spirits, and cuisine.

James is preceded in death by his parents Ellen and Matthew,  sister Ellen Solesky, son-in-law Michael Montgomery, and sister-in-law Mary Neises.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Theresa Neises and their daughters Sarah Montgomery and Cassie Stewart (Cale)  both of Clinton.  Jim was a wonderful grandfather to Alex Montgomery, Shani Montgomery, Madison Neises, Michael Montgomery, and Eleanor Stewart.   He was a caring uncle, cousin, and confidant to many dear and distant relations and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel.  Mass will be at 12 Noon at St. Benedict Church.  Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parke Vermillion Humane Society.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
