Jack Behringer Obituary

Jack W. Behringer, 86, passed away on February 25, 2018. He was born December 11, 1931 to George and Ruth Behringer in Terre Haute.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Winaford Rosemary Francis Behringer. He leaves his son George Behringer and wife Debby Behringer of Okemos Michigan, daughter Jacqueline (Jackie) Behringer Wittkamp of Terre Haute, six grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Elizabeth (Beth) Behringer, Krissy Wittkamp, Ian Behringer, Walter Wittkamp, Ashley Fenning and Kyle Beeson, and several nieces and nephews.

Jack retired from General Motors in Flint, Michigan after 30 years of service and moved back to Terre Haute in 1981. He then worked at the Presbyterian Church at 6th and Washington for several years. He was a member of UAW Local 659. Jack served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the VFW.

Per his wishes cremation was chosen. DeBaun Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
