Gregory Wenzel (Manderino) Obituary

Gregory A. Wenzel (Manderino), 44, of Terre Haute passed away unexpectedly in his home on May 28, 2018.  He was born in Terre Haute to Yvonne Manderino Wenzel and Kenneth A. Wenzel on November 8, 1973.  Greg was a graduate of Terre Haute South High School.  Greg was also a member of the First Congregational Church.  He worked for many years at Kohl’s Department Store and most recently Baesler’s Flower Shop.  Due to various medical issues he spent many weeks during the past two years in and out of nursing homes where he was loved by both staff and patients for his friendliness and sense of humor.  Greg enjoyed watching comedies and horror movies, about which he could talk endlessly.  He also loved animals, particularly elephants and his cat, “Bootsie” who was his closest companion for the past 11 years.  Most of all, Greg was a loving, generous, and kind person.

Greg is survived by his mother, Yvonne Rusch and stepfather Fred Rusch of Terre Haute, brothers Kenneth A. Wenzel II of Phoenix, Arizona and Frank J. Manderino (Laura) of Terre Haute; stepbrother Tim Rusch (Kathy) of Framingham, Massachusetts and stepsister Priscilla Wolfe (Jay) of Terre Haute, an uncle Garry Hughes (Louise) of Bloomington, nephew Corey Manderino of Montezuma, niece Kayci Manderino (Kyle Wilderman) of Clinton and great nephew Cash Wilderman of Clinton,  Sharon Wenzel  (aunt) and Monte Wenzel (Marsha) as well as several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Michael J. Manderino, his grandparents, and two uncles, Jessie Hughes of Mooresville and Ronnie Wenzel.
