Dorothy and family, I was saddened by the passing of your husband and father. I am a former student of Dr. Jerse and he was a wonderful teacher. I had his class at Indiana State while doing my masters and it was so wonderful I cried when it was over. What a wonderful man he was and you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May God bless you all.

I treasure memories of Bill from my time in his class at ISU, and from the German Oberlandlers. He is sorely missed by many. I offer sincerest condolences, and pray for the peace that passes understanding for dear Dorothy and all the family.

Our heartfelt sympathy is with you, Dorothy, and with Ann, and with all the family and friends Frank had to leave behind in the loving care of each other.

Dr. Jerse was one of the kindest, if not the kindest, and intelligent professors I had at ISU. He was the best. Many years later he is forever in my memory as a favorite, great professor and individual. I am sorry for your loss but thank you for sharing him with the students that benefited from his teaching for so many years. God bless you all during this difficult time.

I was honored to take over Bill Jerse's position in 1993 when I arrived at Indiana State. He was helpful as I began my own academic career. He genuinely cared about others. He will be missed by all.

One of my retirees and a member of the Fazolis’ Wednesday night crowd. He was a kind, intelligent and gentle man. May memories of a life well lived bring peace to Dorothy and family.
