Ernestine M. (Ault) Whitesell

Ernestine M. Whitesell, 91, of Terre Haute passed away March 17, 2018 at 5:30 pm in Meadows Manor East. She had worked at Quaker Maid and also cleaned houses for many years but above all she was a farm wife. Ernestine was born January 31, 1927 in West Terre Haute to Henry Ernest Ault and Bertha Eva (Dubre) Ault. Survivors include; sons, David Whitesell (Libby) and Danny Whitesell both of Terre Haute; grandchildren, David Whitesell (Angie) and Beth Massey (Jay); great grandchildren, Chelsea Lentes (Tom), Dillon Massey, Mitchell Massey, Ellie Mae Massey, and Brent Whitesell and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Whitesell who died in 1994; a son, Douglas Whitesell; sisters, Thelma Clark, Hazel Haymaker, Mary Howell, and Beulah Elliot and brothers, Arthur Ault, Leo Ault, and Merlin Ault. Ernestine was a member of Oak Hill Community Church and of the Oak Hill Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the National Farmers Union and the Farm Bureau. Visitation will be Thursday March 22, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Friday March 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Fagg officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Sandford. If friends so desire the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Oak Hill Community Church.
