Ernest E. Wycoff, 75, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday May 13, 2018 at 6:45 pm in Meadows Manor Health Care. He had been employed at Pace Dairy. Ernest was born July 23, 1942 in Terre Haute to Ernie Wycoff and Nola Faye (Myers) Wycoff. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wycoff; daughters, Kelly Wycoff, Reverend Kimberley Wycoff Hughley (Darrell), and Andrea Wilson (David); sons, Ernie Wycoff (Tina), Jeff Wycoff (Billie), and Matt Wycoff; sisters, Barbara Marshall and Lia Torbet (Rick); brothers, Roger Wycoff (Connie), Russell Wycoff (Colleen), Denny Wycoff (Polly), and Merlin Wycoff; grandchildren, Alicia, Ashley, Ernie, Trace, Lance, Melissa, Anica, Marie, Whitney, Landon, and Deven; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Donna Wilson, granddaughter, Tristan Moore and great-grandson, Matthis Hughley. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Ernest was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan for over 60 years, liked IU Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed cooking, singing karaoke and listening to Gaither’s music. He was a Civil War buff and was in the volunteer grandparent program. But most of all, Ernest loved the Lord. Visitation will be Friday May 18, 2018 from 12 noon until 3:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 3:00 pm in the funeral home with Reverend Kimberley Wycoff Hughley officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Vigo County Veterans honor Guard at the funeral home. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
