So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Thornton was one of the best teachers that I had at West Vigo. She always allowed us to work on our Home Ec projects on our lunch. Mrs Thornton came in the home ec room one time and caught me ripping out the seams on another girls (Nancy Berry) skirt instead of fussing at me for doing Nancy's work, Mrs Thorton just smiled and told me that someday I would be a good teacher. But I became a nurse.

Elizabeth was a lovely lady. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude even when she wasn't feeling well. Her contribution to the community are appreciated. Blessing to all her family at this sad time.

Bill, Jimmy, Donnie and Julie,

So sorry to hear the news. Liz is real high on the list of the nicest people I've ever known, so much so that she used to let me be her partner in lunch-hour bridge in the West Vigo teacher's lounge (or maybe she made sure she played AGAINST me; it's been a few years). My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I will always remember how kind Liz and her husband were when I was working at the Girl Scouts. They did so much volunteer work.
