Darlene B. Melvin Griffin of Rosedale passed away March 10, 2018 surrounded by family. She was born in Terre Haute to Leola and Clarence Melvin.
She is survived by two daughters; Melissa Craft (Mike) and Shelley Thomas (JD), five grandchildren; Brittany Streich (Simon) of Indianapolis, Griffin Cassagne of Memphis, Tennessee, Lacey Craft (Chris) of Roachdale, Indiana, Lucas Thomas and Emma Thomas of Rosedale Indiana, one great grandson, Brody Streich of Indianapolis, special nephew Joe Melvin (Debbie), special niece Deb Tryon (John), lifelong friends Juanita Killion and Pam Hensley, as well as many extended family survivors.
Darlene worked a short time for energy assistance before becoming employed with Hills department store. She enjoyed reading her newspaper, reading magazines and working word puzzles. The highlight of her days were calls and visits from her children and grandchildren
