Daniel M. Kerr, 49, passed away September 18, 2019, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and children. Danny was born in Sewickley, PA on March 6, 1970 to Martin Kerr and Joyce “Mushalansky” Kerr. Danny is preceded in death by his father Marty, as well as many pets including his most beloved dog CC. He is survived by many people who loved him, including his wife Molly, daughter Avery, son Connor, mother Joyce, sister Kara (Steve), Molly’s parents Gerald and Carolyn Edson, nephew Luke, niece Tessa, and many friends and extended family. Danny was the younger of two children. After graduating Randolph-Macon Academy, he attended Indiana State University, where he met Molly. He then took over the family business, Honey Creek Machine, and later opened a leasing company. Danny married Molly Edson on September 16, 1995, and moved into their home on Paint Mill Lake, where they still reside. In 1999, they were blessed with the birth of their son, Connor, and then in 2003 they welcomed daughter, Avery, into their family. Danny loved spending time with Connor and Avery, as well as many “bonus kids” that he treated as his own. He especially liked pulling the kids around behind the boat. Danny enjoyed countless trips to Aruba with family, his “happy place.” He loved to hunt birds and be with his dogs. Danny also loved to restore old cars and Broncos. Danny was such a kind person inside and out. More than anything he truly loved his family and they loved him. Danny had a strong work ethic and was an incredibly caring person. Per Danny’s request, cremation has been chosen. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21 at DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel from 4-7 PM with a service starting at 7 PM. Jeff Lee will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society. Online condolences may be left at DeBaunfuneralHomes.com
