Carol Phillips Obituary

Carol A. Phillips, 80, of Terre Haute passed away at Cobblestone Crossing surrounded by her family on March 12, 2018.  She was born in Allen County, Indiana on November 28, 1937 to Ralph and Elnora Perry.  Carol was a long time teacher at Consolidated Elementary School, a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ, a member of the Over the Hill Gang.  She loved to travel, play word games, do puzzles, attend community theatre productions, quilt, keep up with people on Facebook, and spend time with her family. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lee Perry.  She is survived by her daughters; Lisa Hemmrich and Beth Phillips, grandchildren; Kaitlyn Tatum, Josh Hemmrich, Tomas Montenegro, Nico Montenegro, and Pilar Montenegro, great-grandchildren; Alexis Tatum and Avery Sulpizio, brother Alan Perry (Janiece), sister-in-law Mary Jo Perry, several cousins, nieces, and nephews, and special friends; Alan Fisher, Jane Laufman, Maria Tyler, and Vicki Quinn.

Cremation was chosen.  DeBaun Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.  A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at St. Mark United Church of Christ at 11:00 a.m. located at 475 South Fruitridge Avenue.    In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to St. Mark UCC.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
