She was a great cook and loved to bake for her family and friends.  Every Sunday she would bake a cobbler, cake, rolls and all the fixings.  Everything she made was from scratch and her heart.  Her door was always open for family and friends. She loved watching sports and was a big fan of basketball.  Ginny was very happy watching the grandkids play baseball and softball.  She was a member of Mt. Aetna Baptist Church and Eastern Star of Rosedale, Indiana.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband Virgil G. Allen, who passed away June 6, 1967; as well as her brothers, Rudy Weil, Joe Weil, Loren Weil, Harry Weil and Raymond Weil, her sisters, Lucille Daffer and Mary Thompson.

She is survived by a sister, Joan Dowell of Ft. Myers, Florida, daughters, Dorothy (John) Medley of Normal, Il., Helen (Mike) Huddleson of Terre Haute, Marilyn (Tony) Burk of Terre Haute, and Barbara (Stan Jepsen) Allen of Lakewood, Colorado and son Raymond (Patty) Allen of Denver, Colorado.  Grandchildren, Lee Ann Medley, Jennifer (Richard) Thoennes, Michelle (Larry) Witty, Melissa (Bill) Howard, Holly Diethrich, Ashley (Greg) Butler, Chris (Elizabeth Poole) Burk, Brittney (Chris) Charleson, and Kristin Ardourel and eight great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ginny worked at Gillis Drug Store, J.I. Case and Columbia Records.  She purchased the store in Sandcut, Indiana after her husband passed.  After selling the store, she worked at Montgomery Ward where she retired from.   After retirement she went to work for Miss Sherry’s Small World.
