Obituaries

Shawn A. Biddle 45, loving father, husband, and best friend to many died tragically on September 2, 2010 from a tractor roll-over accident. He was born on June 16, 1965 in Terre Haute to Vernon Paul Biddle, Jr., and Shirlee Kraemer Biddle. His parents have preceded him in death. He was a member of the Operating Engineers # 841 and was employed at S & G Excavating at their Houseman Rd./Davis Dr. location. He also was a member of Social Lodge # 86 F&AM and the Zorah Shrine. For many years he had been active with the Wabash Valley Horseman’s Association and will be fondly remembered for driving his team of mules. He is survived by his wife Christine (Dunkin) Biddle, his children Brent Biddle and Cassie Biddle, two brothers Vernon Paul Biddle, III and his wife Phyllis, and Scott Biddle and his wife Trish. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Samantha Biddle, Brooke Biddle, Sydney Dunkin, Ashley Dunkin, and Nicholas Dunkin; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Terri and Richard Dunkin, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rich and Jaymi Dunkin. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday fron 12:30 until services. Social Lodge #86 will present their memorial on Monday at 7 p.m. For those who choose memorial contributions may be made to either the Wabash Valley Horseman’s Association or the charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
