Linda Brannon Obituary

Linda Lee Brannon, 70, of Terre Haute passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.  She was born July 24, 1953, in Terre Haute to Lester L. Byrer and Barbara J. Byrer.  Linda was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister.  She was a 1971 graduate of Honey Creek High School.  Linda obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts and Painting from Indiana University.  Raising her two girls was the highlight of her life.  She was a self-proclaimed Domestic Goddess before later working as a teacher’s aide at South Vigo High School.  Most of all she enjoyed adventures and travelling with her family.  They loved visiting Europe, New York, and California.  Linda was a talented artist and painter.  The simple things like sitting outdoors and watching the animals brought her so much comfort and joy.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Jamie Brannon, daughters Kristy Lynn Brannon and Julia Marie Gottschling (Ryan), siblings Suzie Phillips (Mark), Lester Byrer (Terri) and John Byrer, lifelong friend Debra Butler, and Boots the cat.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Donations in remembrance of Linda may be made to Swope Museum at  https://www.swope.org/support.
