Kenneth D. Tingley

Kenneth D. Tingley, 81, of Terre Haute, was called Home on July 16, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born to Julius and Ladonna on November 16, 1935.  He is survived by his brothers Robert and John and his sister Ruth Ann.  He was proceeded in death by his wife of 26 years Shirley A. Tingley, his parents, and his brother Darrell.

Ken was baptized February 6, 1937 at Greenwood Baptist Church where he has faithfully served as a deacon and as a song leader.  He graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1953.

Children include Anthony Tingley (Barbara), Cindy Tingley Dean, Kristi Patterson (Mike), Kenny Tingley (Lori) and stepson Greg Westfall.  Grandchildren include Jacob Tingley (Rianna), Brooke Peterson (Trent), William Carnell, John Carnell, Josh Doty (Will), Aaron Doty, Lacey Patterson Wall (Dustin), Ben and Charlie Patterson, Kenny Tingley (Heather) and James Tingley (Erica).  Great Grandchildren include Aiden, Maggie, Emma, Ellie, Everett, Tyler, Alyson and Gavyn.

He worked as an independent insurance agent for over 50 years and served on the board of the Vigo County Federal Credit Union.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18 from 4-8 pm, and Wednesday July 19, from 9-10am at DeBaun Funeral Home on Springhill. Funeral services will held on Wednesday, July 19 at 10am officiated by Dr. Jim Gibson at DeBaun Funeral Home followed by interment at Roselawn Cemetery.

In memory of his many years of service as camp director,  the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Greenwood Baptist Church Camp Fund, 2431 S 1st St Terre Haute IN 47802.
