Mary Elizabeth Murray, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in her residence. She was born Taylorville, IL (where she lived until 1942) on July 4, 1923 to Chester Cook and Beulah Tolle Cook. She lived in Decatur, IL from 1942 through 1990, when she moved to Terre Haute to be near her family. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, enjoyed doing crafts and reading her Bible! She was a retired bookkeeper and also had worked at the Wabash Senior Center for several years. She is survived by one son; Terry R. Good (& wife Frances L.); two granddaughters; Kimberly S. Haeuser (& husband Edwin), and Tammera R. Good. Also surviving are three great grandsons; Tyler R. Good, Mitchell L. Haeuser, and Samuel J. Haeuser; and one great granddaughter; Tahlia A. Haeuser. Other survivors include three brothers; Robert W. Cook of Cheyenne, WY, Larry Cook of Bellville, IL, and Stanley Cook of Sullivan, IL; and four sisters; Minnie Griffin of Kincaid, IL, Judy Zietler of Taylorville, IL, Rosetta Neal of Sun City West, AZ, and Marcia Shelite of Pana, IL. She was preceded in death by two husbands; Charles M. Good and Thomas J. Murray, a daughter; Karen S. Good; one brother; Leroy Cook, and one sister; Alice Marie Cook. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Wheaton & Pastor Rick Swan officiating. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been arranged.
