I am so very sorry about the loss of your daughter, Laura. Nothing is more difficult than losing your child. My name is Cindy McClain and I am the leader of Compassionate Friends in the Wabash Valley. The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. We work together to transform the pain of grief into the elixir of hope. It takes people out of the isolation society imposes on the bereaved and lets them express their grief naturally. With the shedding of tears, healing comes. The newly bereaved get to see people who have survived and are learning to live and love again. We are a group of parents and grandparents who have also lost a child. I lost my precious only son Dylan 5/5/07 at 20 years old. I do find comfort in sharing with others who have experienced this tragedy. We would love to have you join us when you are ready. We meet every 4th Thursday, 6:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1875 Fruitridge Ave Terre Haute IN. If you have any questions or would like additional information please contact us at tcfwv@googlegroups.com. Peace be with you…. Cindy
