Joyce Denise Alonso, 57, of Terre Haute died Friday February 26, 2010 at 1:00 AM in her residence. She was a nursing home administrator and a business owner. Joyce was born July 19, 1952 in Terre Haute to Wallace Watson and Elsie (Powers) Watson. She is survived by her husband Jose Alonso; a son: John Alonso; 2 daughters: Ana Thompson and her husband Blaine and Penny Thompson and her husband William; 4 grandchildren: Andrea Sinks, Roy Thompson, Jacob Johnson, and Isaac Johnson; 3 aunts: Mary Ruth King, Ernestine Reed, and Ann Vencel; 2 uncles: Dale Powers and Carl Powers, and several cousins. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 3, 2010 at 10:00 AM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr.. Visitation will be Tuesday March 2, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Creek West Lawn Cemetery.
