Cynthia Baffy-Fowler, 56, of Terre Haute passed away on January 27, 2012 at 7:32 a.m. in St. Vincent’s Hospital. She was born on January 11, 1956 to Jerry Fowler and Delilah Bowers. Cynthia was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She cherished her family, as she was their rock through many hard times. She enjoyed being around animals, drinking coffee, listening to music, and singing. Cynthia growing up and throughout her life was known as a daddy’s girl. She was a member of the Victory Christian Center in Seelyville, IN. She attended Sally Beauty Academy, and later on became a nail technician.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Albert Baffy; daughters Victoria Cassida, her husband Caleb, Sarah Baffy, and her fiancé David Belknap; sister-in-law Mary Sclafani; mother–in-law Margaret Baffy; her dog Terre; and many other loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday February 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive. Rev. Shawn Riggs will be officiating. Burial will be at Morris Chapel Cemetery in Dugger, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday January 31, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society or The Lighthouse Mission.
