Betty J. Bovenschulte, 83, of Farmersburg, passed away at 8:41 AM on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in Union Hospital. She was born in Burns City, IN on March 21, 1926 to Mathias Ray and Stella Parrish Ray. She was a member of Blackhawk Community Church—where she served as Church Organist, Adult Sunday School Teacher, and Women’s Bible Studies Leader. She is survived by her husband Donald F. Bovenschulte—whom she married October 1, 1945. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as four brothers and three sisters. Funeral Services will be held in DeBaun
Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Dr., on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Vistiation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of choice in her memory.
