Alberta L. Sidenbender, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday January 28, 2012 at 11:51 am in Cobblestone Crossing. She worked as a lab technician and in the office at IMC, retiring in May of 1982. Alberta was born May 18, 1920 in Clay Count y, IN to Rex Killion and Iva (Orman) Killion. She is survived b y 5 nieces and nephews: Cathy Sheridan, Mark Killion, Stephanie Hasecuster, Beth Traub, and Gary Killion; cousins, many life-long friends and sorority sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her husband Raymond P. Sidenbender who died December 11, 1983 and 2 brothers: Cecil E. Killion and Hershel W. Killion. Alberta was a member of Maryland Community Church, a 65 year member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority where she never missed a meeting in 65 years. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge. Cremation is scheduled with private burial at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Park. Beta Sigma Phi sorority will be conducting a memorial service at a later date. The family; would like to thank the staff at Cobblestone Crossing for their caring and compassionate service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions can be made to either ALS Association (Lou Gehrig’s disease) or the American Heart Association.
